  • Best cities for dentists are: Burlington, Vermont — The cost of living in Burlington is 6.9% below the national average. Dentists earned an average salary of $275,430; Flint, Michigan — The average salary for dentists $229,470; and Dalton, Georgia — Salaries for dentists average $238,490.
  • Top small, midsize, and large city for dentists — Dalton, Georgia, Burlington, Vermont, and Des Moines, Iowa.
