Phoenix Receives Award for Excellence in Prosthodontics
The American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) has awarded Rodney D. Phoenix, DDS, MS, FACP, associate dean for dental research at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, with the Major General Bill B. Lefler Federal Services Award. The award recognizes excellence in leadership, patient care, mentorship, and service to the community.
Phoenix retired from the Air Force as a colonel after 34 years of active and reserve service. Prior to retirement, he served as program director for the US Air Force Graduate Prosthodontics Residency Program, and military consultant for prosthodontics to the Assistant Surgeon General for Dental Service.
Phoenix is a fellow of the ACP, diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics, and a published author.
