DecisionOne Dental to Volunteer Essential Oral Health Services to Clearbrook Residents as Part of “Reason To Smile” Campaign; September 15, 2017

August 29, 2017 (SCHAUMBURG, IL) – DecisionOne Dental will provide free dental services to adults with developmental disabilities through their “A Reason To Smile” program on September 15, 2017 at their Schaumburg location.

DecisionOne Dental teams from 19 locations will come together to provide screenings and cleanings for more than 20 Clearbrook residents in an on-going effort to support their commitment to support to people with disabilities.

“We launched “A Reason to Smile” after we found out about funding cuts the agency had endured like preventive dental care.” Explained Dr. AJ Acierno, DecisionOne Dental CEO, “At DecisionOne Dental we believe that dental care is not a luxury, it is a necessity. We know that with regular and consistent dental care can work to prevent tooth decay and gum disease, but poor oral health can also contribute to a whole host of other issues including heart disease and diabetes.”

DecisionOne Dental has pledged $100,000 annually towards assisting Clearbrook, a local facility that provides services, programs, and support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This bi-monthly program began when a patient, whose brother is a Clearbrook client, told Dr. Acierno about the funding cuts the agency had endured, including preventive dental care.
