Dental Technician Steals Precious Metals from VA to Sell for Personal Gain
A dental technician at the Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albany, New York, admitted he stole precious metals, including silver, gold, and noble alloys, to sell on the private market. The materials were supposed to be melted down to create dental restorations for the veterans seeking dental care at the center. The technician pocketed more than $17,500 from the theft.
