Wisconsin Addresses Lack of Dental Care for Medicaid Enrollees
In the state of Wisconsin, approximately 70% of adults and children covered by Medicaid did not receive any dental care at all in 2021. To address this disparity, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services is donating $5.1 million to 14 nonprofit dental clinics. Ranging from $59,000 to $150,000, the grants will be disseminated to recipients over 3 years. The Wisconsin legislature is also increasing the reimbursement given to private practice dentists who treat patients insured by Medicaid. Click here to read more.
