Number of Dentists Joining Dental Service Organizations Continues to Grow

More dentists — especially new dentists — are choosing to affiliate with dental service organizations (DSOs), according to survey data collected by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute. In 2022, approximately 13% of dentists in the United States were working within a DSO; however, this percentage jumps to 23% among dentists who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
