The American Association for Dental Research (AADR) has announced the recipients of the 2021 AADR awards. Winners were recognized during the opening ceremonies of the virtual 50th annual meeting of the AADR, held in conjunction with the 99th General Session and Exhibition of the International Association for Dental Research and the 45th annual meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research in July.
Winners include:
AADR’s Honorary Membership: Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT). DeLauro is being recognized as one of Congress’ strongest champions for science and the nation’s federal research agencies, including the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
AADR Procter & Gamble Underrepresented Faculty Research Fellowship: Patricia Miguez, DDS, PhD, MS. Her current research focuses on extracellular matrix (ECM) components and its modifications in health and disease.
