Leena Palomo, DDS, MSD, is an associate professor and director of the Doctor of Dental Medicine Periodontics Program at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland. A board-certified periodontist, Palomo conducts research on periodontal and peri-implant diseases, especially in post-menopausal women. She has served as a consultant to U.S. Food and Drug Administration trials, lectures nationally and abroad, and publishes in multidisciplinary professional journals.

Jeffrey A. Rossmann, DDS, MS, is a professor and chair of the Department of Periodontics at Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Dentistry. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a fellow in the American College of Dentistry and International College of Dentistry. Rossmann also maintains a private practice dedicated to periodontics and dental implants in Dallas.

Helene Bednarsh, BS, RDH, MPH, is director of the HIV Dental Ombudsperson Program at the Boston Public Health Commission and dental director for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center in Boston. She is also vice president of HIVdent. Bednarsh received the American Dental Hygienists’ Association Alfred C. David A. Reznik, DDS, is chief of dental services for the Grady Health System in Atlanta. He also serves as director of the Oral Health Center in Grady’s Infectious Disease Program, which he founded 24 years ago. He has been providing oral health care services for people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) disease in the Atlanta metropolitan area for 29 years. Reznik is founder and president of HIVdent, a nonprofit organization of concerned health care providers committed to assuring access to high-quality oral health care services for those living with HIV disease. He is also a member of the Organization for Safety, Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP).
Travis M. Hicks, DDS, MS, is a pediatric dentist practicing in Raleigh, North Carolina. His research interests include the study of adolescents at risk for eating disorders. Hicks has published papers on this subject in professional journals.
