Asgeir Sigurdsson, DDS, MS, is an associate professor and chair of the Department of Endodontics at New York University College of Dentistry in New York City. A diplomate of the American Board of Endodontists, his research interests include dental trauma, pain modulation and endodontic diagnosis.

Art DiMarco, DMD, is director of the University of Washington School of Dentistry’s Regional Initiatives in Dental Education Program and an associate professor of dental hygiene at Eastern Washington University in Spokane. He has more than 30 years of private practice experience and nearly 20 years of experience teaching in dental, dental hygiene, and dental assisting education. DiMarco is a coauthor of the textbook Local Anesthesia for Dental Professionals.
