These free applications provide visualizations of potential results to help patients understand their options and achieve an ideal smile. Together, Medit Ortho Simulation, Medit Crown Fit, Medit Smile Design and Medit Compare expand the realm of what a scanner can do. For example, Medit Crown Fit helps clinicians easily detect possible pressure points, reducing chairtime and increasing patient comfort. Similarly, Medit Smile Design takes the patient’s proposed smile and places it in his or her image, so the individual can envision the final outcome, while Medit Compare automatically aligns two sets of scan data, allowing for comparison. And, unlike a closed system, Medit’s open design enables dentists to take advantage of any future developments and improvements in software.
