Pennsylvania Considers Dentist/Dental Hygienist Licensure Compact
A proposed bill, Senate Bill 895, aims to ease the licensing process for out-of-state dentists and dental hygienists seeking to practice in Pennsylvania. This bill seeks to grant the governor’s office the authority to join the Dentist and Dental Hygienist Compact, a multi-state agreement allowing professionals to transfer their licenses across states without reapplying. While the licensure compact is still in its early stages, several states have already adopted it, with Iowa, Tennessee, and Washington leading the way.
