Grant Supports Efforts to Make Dental Visits More Pleasant for Pediatric Patients
While going to the dentist is rarely on a child’s list of favorite things, a new grant from the National Institutes of Health aims to help oral health professionals provide the best experience possible for their littlest patients. The $450,000 grant will be used to educate general and pediatric oral health professionals in Arkansas on evidence-based, child behavioral-management skills to improve compliance and reduce anxiety. The program is led by Lauren B. Quetsch, PhD, a professor in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Arkansas in Fayetville. Click here to read more.
