Most Dentists to Charge Patients More in the Coming Year

According to the “Economic Outlook and Emerging Issues in Dentistry Poll” conducted by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute, three out of four dentists will increase patient fees in 2023. Participating dentists noted inflation, flat insurance reimbursement rates, and problems maintaining a full patient schedule due to staffing shortages as the most significant issues they are facing in the coming year. Most dentists stated they are actively searching to hire new staff and about a third said they would drop out of certain insurance plans due to low reimbursement. Click here to read more.
