Oregon to Launch Dental Care Program for Low-Income Veterans
United States Veterans who are residents of Oregon and earn between $19,000 and $54,000 as a single individual are eligible for the state’s new dental program. With signups now open, the program will provide no-cost dental care to those who qualify beginning January 1. The program was initiated by a dentist/lawmaker Rep. Cedric Hayden to fill existing gaps at the Veterans Administration, which offers healthcare services but very little dental care. The program received $1 million in funding and its efficacy will be evaluated after 6 months in operation. Click here to read more.
