
CDC Alerts Americans to Precipitous Rise in COVID-19
The latest United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 tracker notes that the level of COVID-19 transmission is “medium” or “high” in more than 75% of US counties. The number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths has been increasing since June, and is related to the easy transmissibility of the Omicron BA.5 variant.
