California Dental Providers Must Still Abide by State’s COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate
While the federal directive from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration mandating COVID-19 vaccines for businesses with more than 100 employees has been put on hold, the vaccine mandate issued by the California Department of Public Health remains intact. The order is focused on healthcare settings, including dental practices. August 23 was the due date for dental providers to be fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 or agree to weekly testing; the directive has no end date. Other California municipalities, such as Pasadena and Berkeley, and the counties of San Francisco and Los Angeles require vaccination without the option for weekly testing. Click here to read more.
