COVID-19 Cases Rise Across 25 States
As COVID-19-related restrictions have eased and many Americans have tossed their masks aside, the number of COVID-19 cases is ticking upward across half the nation. Some states, such as South Carolina and Kansas, have seen case rates rise by more than 50%, while others, including Alaska and Arkansas, have doubled. Missouri remains the hardest hit with the highest number of new cases for the past 2 weeks than any other state. Missouri’s high case numbers have led to a shortage of ventilators in some areas with high hospitalization rates.
