Annual COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Likely Needed by Those at Highest Risk
While vaccine manufacturers Pfizer and Moderna have suggested that a COVID-19 vaccine booster will be necessary for individuals to maintain their immunity, the evidence supporting this claim has been sparse. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) is expected to announce that people in the highest risk categories, such as those older than 65 and those with comorbidities, should receive an annual COVID-19 booster shot to protect against emerging variants.
