Canada Approves the Use of Pfizer’s COVID-19 Vaccine
After the completion of an independent review of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine data, Canada has approved its use and may begin immunizing its citizens as early as next week. The United Kingdom granted the vaccine emergency use status and began immunizing Britons on December 8. The Middle East’s Bahrain has also greenlighted the Pfizer vaccine. Canada ordered 6 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine, and the first 249,000 doses are expected to arrive by Monday. The United States Food and Drug Administration is expected to grant the Pfizer vaccine emergency use authorization by the end of the week. Read more here.
