Finalists Announced for Second Annual Henry Schein Cares Medal
The Henry Schein Cares Foundation has announced the nine finalists for its second annual Henry Schein Cares Medal, an award given annually to nonprofit organizations that demonstrate excellence in expanding access to care for the underserved.
The Henry Schein Cares Medal honors the people and organizations whose work has been especially effective in bringing care to people in need. An independent panel of judges selected three finalists among applicants from each of three fields: oral health, animal health and medicine. In each category, a gold, silver and bronze medalist will be chosen by the panel of judges from the fields of medicine, philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and business.
The oral health finalists are Community Dental Care in Maplewood, Minnesota, Gaston Family Health Services in Gastonia, North Carolina, and the Interfaith Dental Clinic of Nashville, Tennessee.
Each medalist will receive a cash award: $15,000 for gold, $10,000 for silver, and $5000 for bronze. In addition to the cash awards, each finalist will receive $10,000 worth of product from Henry Schein Cares.
Winners will be announced later this year at the company’s national sales meeting for each business unit. For more information on the Henry Schein Cares Medal, visit hscaresfoundation.org/HSC-Medal.asp.
