Art DiMarco, DMD, is director of the University of Washington School of Dentistry’s Regional Initiatives in Dental Education Program and an associate professor of dental hygiene at Eastern Washington University in Spokane. He has more than 30 years of private practice experience and nearly 20 years of experience teaching in dental, dental hygiene, and dental assisting education. DiMarco is a coauthor of the textbook Local Anesthesia for Dental Professionals.

Tammy K. Swecker, BSDH, MEd, is an associate professor in the dental hygiene program at VCU School of Dentistry, where she serves as senior clinical coordinator and teaches nutrition. She also holds a Nutrition Specialist Certificate. Swecker’s expertise lies in treating medically compromised patients in a hospital setting.
Daniel M. Laskin, DDS, MS, is a professor and chairman emeritus of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry in Richmond. He is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon and educator who has contributed to the field for more than 50 years. Laskin is a former president of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and International

Rebecca S. Wilder, RDH, MS, is a professor and director of the graduate dental hygiene program and director of faculty development at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. She is editor in chief of the Journal of Dental Hygiene. An internationally known speaker and author, Wilder has published more than 200 articles, abstracts and book chapters.
