Kathy Bassett, RDH, MEd, is a professor emerita of dental hygiene at Pierce College in Lakewood, Washington, and an affiliate professor in the Department of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in Seattle. A national and international lecturer, Bassett writes frequently on local anesthesia and is a coauthor of Local Anesthesia for Dental Professionals.
John J. Warren, DDS, MS, is a professor in the Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in Iowa City, where he directs the graduate program in dental public health. A board-certified public health dentist, he serves as secretary-treasurer of the American Board of Dental Public Health. An active researcher, Warren has published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers. Cathrine Steinborn, DDS, practices general dentistry in Santa Clara, California, and is a part-time clinical instructor in the Department of Integrated Reconstructive Dental Sciences at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry.
Swapandeep S. Mushiana, MS, is a doctoral student at the University of San Francisco. He has taught in the areas of addiction, patient communication and dental ethics.
Alan W. Budenz, MS, DDS, MBA, is a general dentist, anatomist and vice chair of Diagnostic Sciences and Services at the University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he also serves as a professor in the departments of Biomedical Sciences and Dental Practice.
Lola Giusti, DDS, MA, is an associate professor in the Department of Dental Practice at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco.
