JoAnn Rover, RDH, MPA, is an associate professor and
radiology coordinator in the Department of Dental Hygiene at
Hostos Community College in Bronx, New York. She has
served as a past trustee for the National Dental Hygienists’
Association. Rover was also a certified dental assistant for 10 years before becoming a dental hygienist in 1995.
Pamela Zarkowski, BSDH, MPH, JD, serves as provost and vice president for academic affairs at University of Detroit Mercy, where she is also a professor in the School of Dentistry, Department of Patient Management. Zarkowski lectures on multiple subjects, including topics related to cultural diversity, and has published extensively in the areas of legal and ethical issues for the health professions. Lori Rainchuso, RDH, MS, DHSc, is a professor at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University in Boston where she teaches in the Doctor of Health Sciences Program. With 20 years of experience in higher education, she enjoys advising students in graduate research and facilitating multidisciplinary courses. She has more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is a contributing author in the textbook, Wilkins’ Clinical Practice of the Dental Hygienist.
Erin A. Kierce, RDH, BA, MS, MPH, is director of
quality assurance for New England Family Dentistry and Co. and
Family Orthodontics and Co. in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Her
professional areas of interest include caries risk assessment, early

Augusto Robles, DDS, MS, is an assistant professor and director of the operative dentistry curriculum at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry. He performs clinical research on dental materials.
Bright Chang, DMD, MS, is a prosthodontist in private practice at Prosthodontics Associates, P.A. and a former assistant clinical professor at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. He has served in numerous leadership positions in both organized dentistry and nonprofit healthcare. Chang is passionate about dentistry and sharing his experiences and knowledge.
