Yoshiharu Hayashi, DDS, is a general dentist practicing in Tokyo and an adjunct professor at Nihon University School of Dentistry at Matsudo’s Department of Oral Implantology. A diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), he is also a continuing education faculty member at Meikai University School of Dentistry and Asahi University School of Dentistry in Japan.

Gigi Meinecke, RN, DMD, FAGD, maintains a private practice specializing in cosmetic dentistry and facial esthetics in Potomac, Maryland. A fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists, she serves as a spokesperson for the AGD and chair of the American Dental Association Council on Communications. Laurie Brenchley, RDH, BS, is a graduate student in the dental hygiene program at Idaho State University in Pocatello. She also serves as a clinical research specialist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, where she manages protocols investigating patients with immune dysfunction and oral mucosal immunity.
