After reading this course, the participant should be able to:

  1. Describe the prevalence of eating disorders.
  2. Define anorexia nervosa, bulimia, rumination syndrome, and pica.
  3. Identify the oral manifestations associated with various types of eating disorders.
  4. Discuss the role of oral health professionals in managing patients with eating disorders.
