YAARA BERDAN, DDS, MBA, is cochair of the Department of Endodontics and Periodontics and director of predoctoral endodontics at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in Los Angeles. She is a subject matter expert for the California Dental Board, reviewing cases under investigation to evaluate whether professional standards were met. A member of the Educational Affairs Committee of the American Association of Endodontists, Berdan lectures at local and national meetings and coauthored a
