Carl F. Driscoll, DMD, FACP, is a professor at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, where he directed the prosthodontic residency program for 21 years. A diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP) and the Academy of Prosthodontics, was recently named the ACP’s Educator of the Year. In addition to his teaching commitments, he is in private practice in Bethesda, Maryland.
Use of appropriate mechanical and/or chemical tools will help maintain the longevity and service life of dental prostheses, while also supporting patient health.
