Somewhere in the United States and Canada, dental clinicians, educators and researchers have ideas for improving the oral health of mothers and pediatric patients. How much would $50,000 help to realize those visions? Colgate-Palmolive and the Canada-United States Chapter of the Alliance for a Cavity-Free Future are teaming up to find out. Under the partnership, a grant program will award up to $50,000 to projects designed to improve oral health care for pregnant women and children age 6 and under.
Eligible projects must focus on improving attitudes, knowledge and practice related to the prevention of caries within vulnerable populations. Applicants must be part of an interprofessional project team — with a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist as one of the team members — and be enrolled or working in a university or involved in public health. Applications will be accepted from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1, with full details available at allianceforacavityfreefuture.ca.
