Bill Introduced to Ensure Dental Care for Veterans With Chronic Health Problems
On June 13, legislation was introduced that would improve access to dental care for veterans with chronic health problems such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. The bill “Improving Whole Health for Veterans with Chronic Conditions Act” was sponsored by 13 legislators. If passed, the legislation would create a pilot program to provide comprehensive dental care to this population as well as research into the effectiveness of such a program.
