Loan Repayment Program to Bring More Providers to Northern New England

Rural areas in Northern New England—which encompasses New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine—face shortages of all types of healthcare providers, including dentists. To attract more dental providers to the region, Northeast Delta Dental has funded a loan repayment program for dentists who commit to serving the area. Three dentists practicing in Berlin, Maine, and Brattleboro, Vermont, are the first to participate in the program, with each dentist receiving $100,000 to pay back student loans.
