California Creates the Specialty Dental Clinic Grant Program

The Specialty Dental Clinic Grant Program is a new venture designed to broaden access to dental care for California residents with special healthcare needs. Led by the California Dental Association and funded through the state government, the program will help clinics already serving special-needs populations expand or fund the development of new clinics. The application process will open in summer 2023. Applicants can request up to $5 million, and patients with special healthcare needs must compose at least 50% of the project’s patient population.
