American Academy of Pediatrics Releases New Report on Oral Health
The American Academy of Pediatrics, which represents more than 67,000 pediatricians in the United States, has released a new report on how pediatricians can encourage good oral health among their patients. The report “Maintaining and Improving the Oral Health of Young Children” focuses on risk assessment for dental caries including high-sugar diet, unlimited snacking, absence of a dental home, and history of caries in caregivers and siblings. The organization also encourages its members to develop relationships with local dental professionals to provide a united front against dental caries in children. Click here to read more.
