Legislation Seeks to Expand Dental Care to US Reserve Component Members
The proposed Healthcare for our Troops Act (HR 3512) would expand both medical and dental benefits to reserve component members of the United States Armed Forces, which includes the Army National Guard, Army Reserve, Navy Reserve, Marine Corps Reserve, Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Coast Guard Reserve. Approximately 130,000 of these service members are currently uninsured. The dental benefits would be provided under TRICARE dental insurance, and members would not be responsible for any premiums. The American Dental Association is in support of the bill and hopes its passing will support retention within the US Armed Forces. Click here to read more.
