Inflation Hits the Dental Practice
While consumers gripe about paying more at the gas pump and the grocery store, they are facing another hit to their pocketbooks when sitting in the dental chair. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), the cost for dental services increased by 1.9% in June, signifying the largest increase seen in dentistry since the federal government began tracking such information in 1995. The ADA notes that an increase in dental team member compensation and higher prices for necessary materials, such as personal protective equipment, sparked the need to increase the cost of dental services.
