CDC Releases Revised Recommendations on How US Can Better Respond to Public Health Emergencies

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, new information was released at a breathtaking pace, leaving many struggling to keep up, including public health officials. In response to the weaknesses revealed over the past 2 years—as the world continues to grapple with controlling a highly infectious disease while considering the health and safety of individuals and economies, as well as quality of life—the Standing Committee for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Center for Preparedness and Response recently released a new framework to address the difficulty in managing data during a public health emergency.
