Those Who Are Vaccinated and Experience a Breakthrough Infection Develop High Levels of Immunity to COVID-19
Oregon Health & Science University researchers found that vaccinated individuals who developed breakthrough COVID-19 infections were left with “super immunity” against the Delta and other variants. Published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, the study showed that the protection provided by COVID-19 vaccination was greatly enhanced by a breakthrough infection, which generated an intense immune response.
