US Won’t Go Back to Lockdown as Europe Instills Greater Restrictions
The White House released a statement indicating the United States will not go back into lockdown amid rising COVID-19 cases here and across Europe. Austria recently reinstituted lockdown measures in response to a new COVID-19 surge. The US will focus on vaccination and the implementation of new treatments to address COVID-19 outbreaks. Approximately 82% of Americans have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
