A Sad COVID-19 Milestone Reached: 5 Million People Dead
While the United States is experiencing a much-needed slow down in the number of new COVID-19 cases across the country, a tragic milestone has been met—throughout the globe, more than 5 million people have died due to illness caused by SARS-CoV-2 infection. The data, provided by the COVID-19 trackers at Johns Hopkins University, show the US has the most COVID-19 deaths at more than 745,000, with Brazil closely following us at 607,000 deaths.
