More Than 440 Million Doses of COVID-19 Vaccines Have Been Given in the US
As of this past weekend, more than 440 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the United States, with 195 million Americans fully vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2. This puts the country’s nationwide vaccination rate at 68%. Public health experts suggest this percentage needs to be between 80% and 90% to reach herd immunity.
