ADA Survey Finds More Dental Team Members Are Needed to Treat Same Number of Patients

The most recent survey of the American Dental Association (ADA) Health Policy Institute finds that 33% of dental practice owner respondents need more clinical team members to treat the same number of patients as they did prior to the pandemic. The survey found that 35% were currently looking to add a dental hygienist to their team, and 40% were seeking an additional dental assistant. Nine out of 10 survey participants noted that hiring new team members was challenging. The survey was conducted the week of November 15 and included 1,484 dentists across the United States.
