Israel Makes Strides Against COVID-19 With Booster Shot
Israel, which has the highest rate of COVID-19 vaccination in the world, is making headway against the latest COVID-19 surge—propelled by the Delta variant—with a booster shot. The administration of a third dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine began in late July and is available to those age 30 and older who received their second jab at least 5 months earlier. With more than 1 million Israelis already having received their third dose, the country’s COVID-19 outlook has started to improve, with a current reproduction rate of less than one.
