Fall May Bring COVID-19 Boosters to Wider Demographic of American Public
According to the director of the United States National Institutes of Health, Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, healthcare workers, residents of long-term care facilities, and Americans older than 60 may be eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster shot this fall. As the number of COVID-19 cases across the nation continues to surge—especially in areas with low vaccination rates—ensuring that the most vulnerable among us receive added protection from SARS-CoV-2 seems prudent.
