
CDC Says All Schools Should Reopen This Fall
The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is expected to issue a new directive stating that all schools should reopen this fall even if they can’t meet all of the recommended COVID-19 safety guidelines such as maintaining social distancing. The organization cites a plethora of downsides to virtual learning experienced by many American children including learning losses and increases in mental health problems. The new directive will charge local school districts with making decisions regarding hot-button issues—such as mandatory mask wearing—based on regional COVID-19 data. Click here to read more.
