Report Shows Americans Sought Oral Healthcare Despite the Pandemic

Regardless of the obstacles presented by COVID-19, most Americans prioritized oral healthcare, according to a survey by Delta Dental Plans Association. The report “2020 State of America’s Oral Health Report” encompassed responses from two surveys that included more than 4,000 participants. The encouraging results included the following data points:

• 74% received professional oral healthcare in 2020
• 90% agree that maintaining oral health is integral to protecting their systemic health throughout the pandemic
• 94% of parents think maintaining their children’s oral health is key to protecting their children’s systemic health during the pandemic
