Get Moving to Prevent Severe COVID-19 Illness and Death

A new study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine demonstrates that people who exercise regularly are less likely to develop severe COVID-19 illness than their sedentary counterparts. With more than 50,000 participants all in California, the study showed that the individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 who were the most active were less likely to require hospitalization or die than participants who were not as active. Such results are partly due to the ability of exercise to improve the body’s immune response. Click here to read more.
