Get Moving to Prevent Severe COVID-19 Illness and Death
A new study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine demonstrates that people who exercise regularly are less likely to develop severe COVID-19 illness than their sedentary counterparts. With more than 50,000 participants all in California, the study showed that the individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 who were the most active were less likely to require hospitalization or die than participants who were not as active.
