US May Be Turning the Corner on the Coronavirus Pandemic
As spring begins across the United States, news on the COVID-19 front is positive. For the past 3 months, Americans have been receiving COVID-19 vaccinations with widespread acceptance. This approach has worked as deaths related to the novel coronavirus have significantly decreased to below 1,000 per day. Approximately 70% of those age 70 or older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. A growing number of states are now allowing all adults, regardless of age or health status, to be immunized against COVID-19, and more than 27 million shots are set to be distributed across the country next week.
