Number of COVID-19 Cases in Children Continues to Decline
For the third week in a row, the number of children diagnosed with COVID-19 has declined. During the week of January 29 to February 4, 118,000 new cases were found among children, down from 200,000 during the week of January 8 to 14. Thus far, 227 children have died due to SARS-CoV-2 in the United States, comprising 0.06% of all COVID-19-related deaths.
Currently, approximately half of the nation’s children are still learning from home, while a growing number of school districts are beginning to reopen.
