Dental Patient Volumes Experience Slight Decrease as the Pandemic Continues

A quarter (25.5%) of dental practices are currently seeing approximately 86% to 95% of their pre-pandemic patient volumes according to polling conducted by the American Dental Association Health Policy Institute during the week of November 16. Poll data also showed that 15.8% of practices were at more than 95%, and 26% were at 76% to 85% of pre-pandemic patient volumes. These percentages are a bit lower than those reported during September and October. Most dentists noted they have the ability to see more patients than are currently scheduled. Not surprisingly, most dentists will consider increasing fees if patient volumes remain as is through the end of 2020. Read more here.
