United States Reaches a Grim Milestone
For the first time since the inception of the global pandemic, the United States reported more than 100,000 new cases of COVID-19 in one day on November 3. Maine, Minnesota, Indiana, Nebraska, and Colorado reported record-high case numbers, as well. North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin continue to lead the nation in number of new cases relative to population. The number of deaths nationwide has increased by 21% over the past 14 days. Public health officials warn the nation is in a precarious position to effectively address the pandemic with the cold winter months just ahead. Read more here.
