New Poll Shows More Americans Are Willing to Get COVID-19 Vaccination
A recent Gallup poll conducted October 19 to November 1 shows that the number of Americans willing to get a COVID-19 vaccination is increasing. The percentage of those who will take such an immunization once available has risen to 58%, up from 50% in September. Poll data also demonstrated that older adults (63%), Northeasterners (66%), and Westerners (62%) are the most positive about getting the injection, while men (61%) are more willing than women (54%). Most Americans who said they will skip the vaccination noted that the quick process of development made them wary. This high percentage presents unique challenges for public health officials who are charged with ensuring that most Americans get vaccinated to reduce the rapid spread of SARS CoV-2. Read more here.
