Fewer Oral Health Professionals Express Fear of COVID-19 in Michigan Survey
A University of Michigan School of Dentistry survey found that oral health professionals are less afraid of COVID-19 than other healthcare providers and non-healthcare providers, even though their work is noted as high risk. The survey of nearly 1,000 participants included oral health professionals, healthcare providers, and non-healthcare providers. The American Dental Association suggests that this may be because oral health professionals are accustomed to stringently following all infection control protocols and are quick to adapt to changes in the safety arena.
